Questions, expanded

Questions about hiring an AI Agents Crew — twenty-four honest answers.

About the Crew, trust, money, and how it actually works for solo founders and small teams running lean e-commerce. Plain language, no fine print.

About the team

About the team you hire.

  • What does the team actually do?
They run the small jobs that fill your day — answering customer emails in your tone, fixing typos in product descriptions, regenerating the photo that came out wrong, chasing payment on a stuck order, printing a stack of shipping labels before the courier arrives. You tap-approve. They do the rest.
  • How is this different from a general AI assistant?
A general AI assistant writes. Our team acts. They're plugged into your shop, your customer inbox, your shipping carriers — they don't just suggest a refund, they post it. They don't just draft an email, they send it after you tap approve. Every action leaves a clear record.
  • Who actually does the work — humans or AI?
AI. Each Worker is an AI specialist with a narrow job and a stamp. We write their personalities and the rules they follow; you approve what they ship. No mystery person behind the curtain — just a team you supervise like any small team.
  • Can I add my own Workers later?
Eventually yes — adding new specialists is the long-term direction. For today the team is fixed at the small group on the homepage. If you have a specific job in mind that none of the current Workers cover, write to us — we keep a list of what owner-operators ask for.
  • What languages does the team work in?
English first — that's the language they think and write in. They can read your customers' messages in any language you receive them in and reply in the language you reply in. If you sell in multiple languages, tell them that on day one and they'll match each customer's language back.

Trust and control

How you stay in charge.

  • How do I know they won't break something?
Every Worker starts cautious. Nothing changes in your shop until you approve. They show you what they want to do, why, and what'll change. The more you approve, the more they're allowed to handle on their own — but only the kinds of jobs you've already said yes to.
  • Can I see what they did before they do it?
Yes — and after, too. Every action shows you the plan first: what was, what will be, what gets logged. After it runs, the receipt records what changed, who signed it, and when. Every receipt is yours forever.
  • What happens if a Worker gets it wrong?
You see it on the receipt before it ships. If it slipped through, every receipt has a one-tap revert. Behind the scenes the team learns from the correction — that exact mistake is less likely next time. Nothing here is final until you say so.
  • Will they read my customer data?
They read what they need to do the job — the order they're refunding, the email they're replying to, the product they're rewriting. They don't read what they don't need. We never sell, share, or train models on your customer data.
  • Can I undo something the team already did?
Most actions have a revert button on the receipt — refunds reverse, emails get a follow-up, product changes restore. A handful of actions (a label that already shipped, a payment that already cleared at the bank) live in the real world and need a different fix; the team will tell you straight when revert is or is not an option.
  • What will the team refuse to do?
Plenty, on purpose. Product Specialist refuses to ship more than fifteen AI-drafted descriptions in one batch without your edit pass — that's how store domains end up in the next round of Google's Helpful Content audit, and we won't help you get there. Studio Photographer refuses to regenerate a photo that already meets the marketplace spec — it reports the budget saved instead. Ads Specialist refuses to launch Performance Max without brand exclusions. Customer Care refuses the third reply on a thread that has gone back-and-forth without resolving — that conversation needs you, not another auto-draft. Order Manager refuses bulk price changes without preview and never auto-cancels orders flagged for fraud. Every Worker also carries a hard list of actions that never auto-promote no matter how much trust they have earned — refunds above your threshold, GDPR data exports, AI-generated content publication, hero-image overwrites on any live channel. Refusal is a feature, not a limitation.
  • Is the team ready for the EU AI Act?
Yes. Every image Studio Photographer generates carries C2PA Content Credentials plus a SynthID watermark where the model supports it — provenance is on by default and never billed separately. Every AI-drafted product description and every AI-drafted customer reply is labelled in the action record. The transparency expectations binding August 2, 2026 (Article 50 of the EU AI Act) are the floor we ship against — five content-generating Workers carry refusal thresholds that fire before mass-AI publication, so domain-authority damage from un-edited AI content stays a structural impossibility. The receipt records the AI involvement on every action you approve.

Money and limits

What this costs and what stops it.

  • What stops them from spending too much?
Three ceilings: every action has a per-call limit. Every day has a daily limit. Your plan has a monthly bill. If a Worker would cross any of them, it stops and asks. We never take the next dollar without your tap.
  • What's the difference between Free, Basic, and Pro?
Free is read-only — the team watches and proposes, you approve. Basic ($39/mo) unlocks the day-to-day commerce Workers (orders, customers, products, shop integration) plus your email inbox. Pro ($99/mo) adds the heavier specialists (Photo Studio, API integrations, Shipping) and the room to run them without watching the bill tick up.
  • How does the 7-day Pro trial work?
Every new account gets seven days of Pro free — no card. The whole team is yours to try with sensible quantity caps (a handful of photo gens, a few dozen messages, etc). After the seven days the account drops to Free; nothing you wrote, no setting, no receipt disappears. Upgrade any time and you pick up where you left off.
  • What are top-ups and do they expire?
If a busy month burns through your monthly budget, top up — packs of $25, $50, or $100 add to your wallet 1:1. Top-ups don't expire. They sit in your account until you use them, even if you cancel and come back six months later.
  • What happens if a card payment fails?
Stripe retries the charge a few times. After the last failure you get a seven-day grace window — the team keeps running, you keep operating. If the card still does not work after the grace, the plan downgrades to Free until you fix it in the billing portal. Your wallet top-up balance never disappears.
  • Can I switch plans mid-month?
Yes — upgrade any time and the team unlocks immediately. Downgrade and the new plan starts on the next billing date so you finish the month you've already paid for. Cancellations are immediate but the door stays open both ways.

Practicalities

How it fits into your day.

  • Does this work with my shop platform?
PrestaShop, WooCommerce and Shopify out of the box — that's the bulk of the small-shop world. Other platforms can be added by pointing the team at the platform's help docs. API Integrator drafts a connector plan for your approval before any heavier work runs.
  • Can I add my own AI tools to the team?
Yes. If you already use a general AI assistant for other work, the team can read what you've decided in those conversations and act on it. We don't make you switch — we sit next to what you already trust.
  • How many people can I add to my account?
Free is one person — you. Basic fits two (you plus an admin who helps you). Pro fits five (owner, admin, members who run the team, viewers who only watch). Roles decide who can change what; everybody sees the receipts.
  • Which payment methods do you accept?
All the common cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express — through Stripe. Invoices get generated automatically (with VAT for businesses where it applies). You manage your card and download receipts yourself in the billing portal; we never see the card number.
  • How do I cancel? What happens to my receipts?
Cancel any month with one tap. Your receipts, your team's memory, your audit log — they stay yours. Come back next month and pick up where you left off, or don't. The door is open both ways.
  • Are Business or Enterprise plans available?
Not yet on a self-serve page — but if your scale needs SSO, a data processing agreement, dedicated support or custom limits, write to us. We pick those conversations up by hand and tell you straight whether we're the right team for that scale today.

Still wondering?

The team answers questions for free. Hire them and ask them yourself — the receipts will tell you the rest.
