Terms of Service

Last updated · May 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Crewmerce, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

2. Description of service

Crewmerce provides a small team of AI specialists (we call them "Workers") that automate e-commerce store operations. Workers start cautious and only run actions inside the scope you have approved; every action records an audit receipt.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your account credentials secure
  • Reviewing and approving the team's proposed actions before they run
  • Keeping your store data and store credentials accurate and up to date

4. Accounts and brands

Each Crewmerce account belongs to one business — billing, team, plan, and audit history sit at the account level. Inside an account you can create one or more brands; a brand holds the workforce, brand voice, connected shops, and the worker memory specific to that line of business. If you operate two genuinely separate businesses (different legal entity, different brand identity, different team), open a separate account; we don't bundle two unrelated businesses under one account because billing, retention, and data-subject rights all key off the account boundary.

5. Plans, trial, and billing

Crewmerce offers three plans (Free, Basic, Pro) plus a 7-day Pro trial that activates automatically with every new account — no credit card required. After the trial expires, accounts revert to Free until upgraded.

  • Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe Checkout. Invoices VAT-compliant for EU customers.
  • Top-up packs ($25 / $50 / $100) are one-time purchases that never expire.
  • Failed payments enter a 7-day grace period before downgrade. Update your card any time via the Stripe Billing Portal.
  • You can cancel any time. Access continues to the end of the current billing period; we do not issue prorated refunds for partially-used months.

6. Fair use + cost protection

Each plan ships layered cost-protection limits — per-action ceiling, daily hard cap, anomaly detection, monthly wallet, request rate limit, email verification, Cloudflare CAPTCHA. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that bypass these protections (automated abuse, credential sharing, scraper bots) and notify owners at the email on file.

7. Service availability

Crewmerce is continuously improved, and features may evolve over time. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, Crewmerce does not provide guaranteed uptime or response-time service-level agreements (SLAs); we operate the service on commercially reasonable best-effort terms.

8. Intellectual property

The Crewmerce service, including its software, design, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Crewmerce. Your store data remains your property at all times.

9. Connecting external AI tools

Crewmerce supports OAuth 2.1 with PKCE so external AI tools (Claude.ai, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and other Model Context Protocol clients) can dispatch your workforce on your behalf when you explicitly authorize them. By connecting an AI tool you agree that:

  • The connected tool acts on your behalf within the scope set you granted on the consent screen. Actions taken by the tool count as actions taken by you for the purpose of these terms (including responsibilities under Section 3)
  • You can narrow the granted scope at consent time (per-Worker allowance, autonomy ring ceiling, evidence read/write) and revoke the entire grant at any time from Settings → Account → Integrations → AI tools
  • The connected tool's own terms of service and privacy policy govern how the tool itself processes your prompts and the Crewmerce responses. We don't control those terms; review the tool's documentation before connecting
  • Crewmerce remains responsible for what happens INSIDE our service after a connected tool calls in — autonomy gates, evidence receipts, audit trails, refusal patterns for safety-sensitive actions, and approval flows for high-impact mutations all continue to apply regardless of which client initiated the request
  • Suspected abuse (a compromised AI tool credential, a tool acting outside the granted scope, etc.) should be reported to [email protected]. We rotate tokens, revoke chains, and lock the registration on confirmed compromise

10. Contact

For questions about these terms, contact us at [email protected].

We may update these terms from time to time as Crewmerce evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the account email on file.
